While catching up on my daily blog readings, I stumbled across this list on
Tar Heels & Hydrangeas, one of my recent blog finds. Since I'm still new to Blogger, I decided I'd take advantage of this little game and further introduce myself.
Here are the questions and I get to pick 6 to answer.
1. What is one of your silly quirks? Or something silly that you get excited about.
2. Favorite movie, song, or TV show?
3. Any funny stories to share that has happened recently?
4. Tell us something we don't know about you.
5. What's your favorite beauty secret or product?
6. What's your favorite or go-to outfit? (pics please)
7. What's a personal trial you had to overcome?
8. What's a current dream that you are hoping to achieve?
9. What's the coolest thing you've made? (food, craft, anything)
10. Who or what inspires you?
11. Share one of your favorite pics. Tell us why it's your favorite
12. What's your favorite part about marriage? Or what have you learned since becoming married?
1. What is one of your silly quirks? Or something silly you get excited about?
I hate to say that I have several silly quirks, but I am a really anxious person. When my anxiety takes over, then it's all I can think about, which means that is all I talk about to whomever I come in contact with during that time. Instead of bottling everything up inside, I talk about it to EVERYONE to get their opinions.
2. Favorite movie, song, or TV show?
My favorite movies are kind of cliche because I'm not a big movie watcher. My list includes: Sweet Home Alabama, Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, Shooter, Bridesmaids, and Mean Girls. I have a laundry list of favorite songs. I would say my top 3 favorite songs are Like a Prayer by Madonna, Crash Into Me by Dave Matthews Band, and A Pirate Looks at 40 by Jimmy Buffett. My favorite TV shows are Will & Grace, The Golden Girls, and Everybody Loves Raymond. For real. I only watch reruns.

Spoiler alert! This is the song my dad and I are dancing to at the reception. When I was in high school, he played this song every day from the day I decided to go to ECU until the day I graduated high school to wake me up in the morning. We're both ECU alums and he loves this song, so I figured it was perfect.
5. What's your favorite beauty secret or product?
It's no secret that I love beauty products, but I don't always wear make-up. Actually, I usually only wear make up on the weekends. I try not to leave home without putting on
tinted moisturizer, a little
bronzer, and
mascara. I also still wear my retainer frequently. I don't have a set schedule, but I do still wear it to keep my teeth in check.
7. What's a personal trial you had to overcome?
I tore my ACL in my right knee in 7th grade playing kick ball in P.E. (I know). I had reconstructive surgery and I have 2 screws in my knee. I had to take a year off from anything really strenuous and I never felt like I got 100% of my range of motion back. 3 years ago, I decided to start training for a half marathon and I had some major issues with my knee. The orthopaedist told me that I would not be able to complete a half marathon because I didn't have enough cartiledge of my knee and I ran the risk of blowing it out. I began taking Glucosamine Chondroitin supplements and training in better increments, and I have completed two half marathons. I have beat each time goal I have set for myself. In the half I'm running in October, I'm looking to get under 2 hours.

8. What's a current dream that you're hoping to achieve?
It sounds silly, but I've always been a planner. And when I was little, I wanted to be a teacher and a wedding planner. Now that I am planning my own wedding, I really want to pursue an event planning business. A dear friend of mine and I have actually applied for a wedding coordinator position for a wedding in November. Our fingers are crossed we get an interview, because we both are thinking this could be a really fun side job for us!
11. Share one of your favorite pictures. Tell us why it's your favorite.

This picture was taken from my friend ABN's wedding in September 2011. DG and I had been together for about 6 months at this point. This was one of the most fun weddings I ever attended and it was the first major event DG and I stepped out as a couple. We had a great time and I love how much fun we are having with each other in this picture.
Alright, I'm tagging only one person in this... but it's you
Lauren.
