Foodie Friday: Crock Pot Beer Chicken

I am a big fan of beer can chicken, but sadly, DG and I don't get a chance to eat it very often.

Wednesday was a pretty busy day for me and I knew I wouldn't be able to spend a ton of time on dinner, so I went to my Pinterest Crock Pot board and pulled this recipe.

In case I haven't mentioned this yet, I'm a pretty big fan of my crockpot!  I mean, there is literally nothing to it.  This fall, my Foodie Friday posts will really be about all the great crock pot recipes I use.  Anyway...

So, ingredients:

*2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
*1 can or bottle of beer (I used Blue Moon's Harvest Moon beer!)
*1 teaspoon of salt
*1 teaspoon of garlic powder
*1/2 teaspoon black pepper
*1 tablespoon oregano

You just throw it all in the crockpot and let it cook for 6-7 hours.  I actually let mine cook for 8 hours on low because I knew I'd be gone for a while.  I love my crockpot because it automatically turns itself to warm once the time is up.

Try it with a salad and garlic bread and you've got yourself a nice little meal.  (So nice, DG ate two and half pieces of chicken last night.)

Have a happy Friday!  I'm off to Washington, NC for my best friend's wedding for the weekend!
xoxo!
