It's time I introduce you to the second portion of my blog's name. In March 2012, this little beuty became mine.
It was an easy decision to buy this house; there isn't any wasted space, there is a nice back yard, and there is a great patio and screened in porch.
Right away, there were a lot of changes made. Most rooms were painted and there were some great flea market finds that were scored to help fill the house. I planted lots and lots of flowers and vegetables and learned that I have a pretty green thumb.
As I mentioned before, I have a Tumblr account that I used to blog on, so a lot of my house updates were done there. You can read the posts here: Update

The most recent completion was hanging a gallery wall up the stairs. Sadly, I have super awkward pictures because I can't get far enough back to take pictures.
This is the view walking up the stairs (except not sideways...) There is a little space still left to add more pictures once we have our engagement and wedding pictures taken and framed.
I saw
this on Pinterest and decided to try a variation of it with a letter I had. Despite lots of ironing and and letting it sit out for a couple of days in the frame, I can't get that crease out. I'm hoping it'll eventually fall out, but anyway. I also am going to paint that G black.
These are the pictures are the top of the stairs where the angle is incredibly awkward. Pictures that were incorporated were photos of my grandparents on my dad's side, my aunt's bridal portrait that my mom found for me, a picture of my cousin, DG, and me after I ran my second half marathon, a photo (that is glared) of DG's nieces and nephews (he has 4!), and the Raleigh skyline.
These are the five photos at the bottom of the stairs. There is a skyline of Buffalo for DG, Winston when he was a baby, DG with his parents when he graduated with his Master's degree, DG and me, and a picture of my grandparents from my dad's side.
I can't wait to add more pictures to it over the next 11 months!
Hope you had a great weekend!
xoxo
