This was the last weekend for quite a while that DG and I won't have a ton going on. We took full advantage by spending some time together doing some fun things. DG also did a ton of work in the yard for me.
I had dinner with a friend at
Babylon in downtown Raleigh. If you live in the area an have never been, go. It is so delicious.
I got the chicken kabobs and roasted potatoes.
My friend got the bison burger and fries.
Babylon is the best during the spring and fall when it's warm enough to be on their awesome patio.
I have been in the market for a new blanket for the bed and I found this great faux fur Threshold
throw from Target. Are you using Target's Cartwheel application yet? No? Well, you could save 25% on this blanket if you started. It's well worth it too!
Saturday, DG and I made plans to use a LivingSocial deal I bought forever ago to
Aviator Brewing Company. We have been big fans of Aviator for quite some time, but DG had never been to the actual brewery. So, he got a Hogwild IPA and I got an Octoberbeast to take on the brew tour.
Afterwards, we headed to the
Aviator Smokehouse to meet a couple of friends for dinner. I got one of my top three favorite meals: eastern NC BBQ, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy.
As always, it didn't disappoint and luckily our friends were just as impressed.
My weekend ended with lots of cleaning, finalizing the guest list and addressing Save the Dates. DG and I also spent some time with his God daughter who is absolutely precious. We also made a decision about where we're going on our honeymoon. Stay tuned for more information on that.
I'll leave you with this picture so you can see how the weekend ended.
Yep. With this lazy guy snoring. He had a great time snuggling, running around the back yard, and going on rides with DG and me.
Hope you had a great weekend!
xoxo
