Tag from A Girl and Her Sparkles

Last week I was tagged by Becky over at A Girl and Her Sparkles.  She is the  cutest and always has the best DIYs!

This tag is easy - You just answer the 10 questions below, and then tag a few other bloggers to do the same! Let me warn you - these are some hard questions ahead!!
1. How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?
I just turned 27 in January, but I feel like I'm in my late 30s or early 40s.  I live in Suburbia, have to be home by 10:30 to take care of the dog, go to bed around 10:00 during the work week, and watch reruns of old shows.  I can still act like I'm in college, but those days are getting few and far between.
2. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
Wedding or event planning would make me insanely happy.  I love to plan and organize events, but I can't quite figure out how to make that happen.  Teaching is great, but with all the constant issues in North Carolina and no cost of living adjustment in almost 6 years... well, I don't know.
3. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do and what is holding you back?
I really want to move out of North Carolina.  Right after college, I started applying for teaching jobs in DC and looking for a place to live.  I was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, so part of my scholarship was I had to teach in NC for 4 years in order to pay back my scholarship.  So, I didn't move to fulfill my commitment.  I will be done at the end of this school year.  My ultimate dream is to come back from our honeymoon and pack up and move out of state.  Maybe Chicago?  Maybe Seattle?  I'm petrified though because I've never lived anywhere other than North Carolina and I'm scared of falling on my face.
4. If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow this person to be your friend?
My friend who does that is my bff ALB.  She has never once hesitated to put me in my place when I start acting ridiculous.  I remember once in college, I was venting to her in front of some other friends and she just laid it all out.  She said exactly what I was thinking and she was so blunt.  My friends all thought I was going to unleash on her, but instead I was like, "You're absolutely right."
5. What is the one think you would most like to change about the world?
I would love to see more acceptance of differences.  Why must people be so judgmental?  It's so much easier to be kind and happy.
6. If the average human lifespan was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
I would spend more time "doing."  Money is a constant concern of mine in having experiences.  That's one reason why going on our honeymoon to Mexico is such a huge ordeal.  It may seem like not a big deal to go to Mexico, but my parents have never been out of the country.  Neither have DG's.  We want to travel and experience more and I wish I had done it more in college.
7. You are having lunch with 3 people that you respect and admire. They begin to criticize another close friend of yours. What do you do?
I do not tolerate people talking bad about a close friend of mine.  I would like to think my friends return the same, so I do not join in.  Never have.
8. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?
I don't know what life is like without worrying.  I legitimately worry about so many things out of my control.  I always have.  But I don't know if I'd rather be a joyful simpleton.  That doesn't seem great either.
9. Would you rather lose all of your old memories or never be able to make new ones?
Um?  I don't know. I'm going to say neither.
10. What would you do differently if you knew noone would judge you?
I don't often mind about people judging me.  I used to and there are times where my feelings do get hurt because of judgment but planning a wedding has helped with that.  I literally received so much judgment for the way we're doing our wedding that I have learned to ignore most of the time.  However, I always feel a little weirded out when I find out friends of mine are reading my blog.  Are they judging me?  Do they think I'm stupid?  I also would be a little more like my personality on my blog.  I'm pretty blunt and I like to cuss sometimes, but I try to refrain on here for fear of offending anyone.

Happy Saturday!
