Weekending: Busier than Anticipated

This weekend turned out to be much busier than I anticipated!

I met friends after work for a little impromptu celebration of the end of the school year.  I also ran out really quickly to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Saturday morning was our high school graduation.  I always love graduation and seeing kids get excited about moving on to their next stage in life.  This year was a little harder than others have been because these were the kids I coached as freshmen who graduated.  I was so happy for them though and really excited to be a part of their high school careers.

We make a tradition to go to brunch somewhere after graduation, so some of my teacher friends and I went to Mecca in downtown Raleigh.

After a nap and a little work, my buddy KP and I headed up to Brueprint Brewery in Apex for their grand opening.  They had food trucks there, so I got my lunch from SolTacos and it was delish!

While out, we ran into one of our co-workers and his family.

Saturday night, DG and I headed out for a late dinner.

Sunday, I worked on some projects around the house and waited on DG for his ceremony to receive his regional coach of the year award.

I had to work and do other not fun adult stuff like grocery shop in the evening.

I hate weekends where I don't have anything planned because I always get more slammed than I anticipated.

How was your weekend?  Hope you'll link up with B and me!

xoxo,
