Friday's Five: A Random Assortment of Thoughts

I feel so rusty after being sporadic with my blogging leading up to the wedding.  I apologize in advance for the randomness of this blog post.

When we got back from Mexico, we immediately switched gears to some home improvement projects we put off. I'll start doing my Suburb Sunday posts again starting this Sunday, but here's a sneak peak.  I made some updates in the master bedroom.

I've been looking for a chair for the corner of the master bedroom for years.  I had something particular in mind, but could never find exactly what I was looking for.  I saw this chair in Target.  I went home to get DG because I knew I wouldn't be able to figure out how to get it home.  So, we he turned it upside down in the passenger and got it home.  It's in its new home now in the corner, but I'm not entirely done, so I don't want to show you the entire room yet.

The other quick update I made was putting these adorable lamps on the nightstands.  I've had them for a while, but couldn't find a lampshade that would work.  These are temporary fixes until I find what I want.

I had two really good mail days Wednesday and Thursday.  Check it out:

My friend Lauren owns a Monkee's Boutique in Greenville, NC where I went to college.  She posted about these Tory Burch Revas that she had for sale.  They just so happened to be my size.  And I just so happened to have thrown my old pair away after wearing them for 6 years.  Literally, 6 years.  Isn't it funny how the stars align so perfectly?  Check out the store's instagram here.

I've been wearing the same pair of eyeglasses since I was a freshman in college.  Part of the reason is because they are Burberry glasses that I am obsessed with; but the other reason is because of it is so hard to find a pair that fits my face like these do.  I decided to do Warby Parker's home try on to see if I can find a pair I like.  DG is doing it too because he is also in desperate need of a new pair.  Stay tuned to see if we get lucky and find the perfect pair.

My friend Brittany just opened up the most adorable Etsy shop named after her precious baby girl.  Check out the cute bows she makes!  P.S. look how cute Kinley and Brittany are!

I can't even with this dog.  He kills me.  Today is his adoption day!  Three years since we went to the SPCA and picked up that little guy.  Stay tuned soon for the story of his adoption.  It's a doozy!

This sums up my thoughts on life.

In the next few weeks, I have some REALLY exciting collaborations to share with y'all.  I'm so excited I can't stand it!
