Good morning, friends! I am super excited to post about my weekend, but should warn you that this will be a picture heavy post.
Friday, I came home after work and got situated out on the patio with Winston.
I also decided to try out
this new lipstick I got. It is the perfect shade of red! Bonus points that the shade is named Pirate.
This pictures makes my heart explode. These two are my best.
Saturday, I woke up to get ready for Pure Barre. I walked into the bonus room to drink my coffee and watch the Golden Girls before going, and y'all... this is what I found. He kills me. What a ham.
Pure Barre on Saturday was INTENSE. It was an awesome class.
I worked from 3:00 until close on Saturday night. DG came and met me when I got off work and we went to
Peak City Grill for the first time. We've been before for drinks and jazz music, but never for dinner. DG got a flight of beer to sample and was pleased with all of his choices.
I initially ordered chicken and waffles, but they were sold out. So, I got the burger because it came with bacon AND pimiento cheese. It was amazing.
DG got sausage and pepper gnocchi. It was his first time eating gnocchi and he really liked the dish.
He was most excited for dessert though. He got apple caramel cobbler and it was seriously amazing.
Sunday, we went to the State Fair. DG and I really look forward to doing this together each year. Here were my essentials for the day.
We plan out what food we're going to eat before going. I always look forward to cheese fries, pizza, and crab cake sandwiches.
But this year, I skipped the cheese fries because one of my favorite restaurants was at the fair AS A FOOD TRUCK. OMG.
La Farm is one of my favorite restaurants in Cary, and I saw they had a pimiento cheese BLT on their menu. Say no more.
It was everything I hoped it would be and more. And so was the peach iced tea.
And, exciting news, but I have been asked about my Christmas tree skirt already. I posted a DIY about it last year, but some readers asked me if I'd make them one instead. If you're interested, I'm actually going to start making them next weekend, so send me an e-mail for a PayPal invoice.
How was your weekend? Any of you North Carolinians attend the fair? Link up with
Biana and me and tell us about your weekend!
xoxo,
