Last week/weekend wasn't my favorite. Monday, we found out our new couch wouldn't fit up the stairs in the bonus room and I was insanely disappointed we had to cancel the order. Things sort of went downhill from there, but the exciting events of the weekend kept me going.
Thursday, I had a little girls' night fun with my friend Michelle. We had girl talk and a yummy meal at
Sip Bistro.
Friday, DG and I were invited to the
Frill girls debut on Shark Tank at Noir in Raleigh. I went to
Parlor Dry Bar for my monthly blow out and really enjoyed myself. Raleigh girls, go book yourself an appointment right now. It is such a fun, relaxing way to treat yourself.
Claire asked me if it was worth it and how long it lasts. I am pretty terrible at doing my own hair so I love getting mine done. I can get my blowouts to last for about 3-4 days unless I run an 8K the next day (oops).
On my way home, DG called to tell me he got a flat tire, which was really just the icing on the cake for my week. Y'all, I know it wasn't his fault, but I was so disappointed. I went and waited on the side of the highway with him for about an hour until Triple A came and helped him.
I wish I was kidding.
So, I rushed home and got ready to head out.
Real life selfie: unmade bed and steamer on the floor. And what would a picture be without a Winston photobomb.
Mr. Wonderful showed up at the Frill viewing! It was such a fun night celebrating
Kate and Sharon and their
accomplishments.
Saturday morning, my plans had a kink thrown in them because I had to take DG's car to get new tire. I did something new for the first time by driving with a spare on and felt like an adult.
Saturday afternoon, KP and I ran our annual
St. Paddy's 8K in downtown Raleigh. This is our third year doing it and we have the best time.
Tir Na Nog sure knows how to host a good time.
We also take same awkward picture every year.
After our run, we headed over to
Clouds Brewing to celebrate. We've heard great things about Clouds, and I am happy to report that it did not disappoint! Their pretzels are seriously amazing.
Maddie has talked about them before and she was not lying. SO good. I also got the portobello veggie sandwich. I'm pretty convinced the portobello cancels out the fried green tomato, pimiento cheese, and pretzel bun. I
told you I run for food.
I came home and literally crashed at 7:00. I'm not even ashamed to admit that.
Sunday, I woke up and met with a painter to get an estimate on our bathrooms. We're pretty anxious to get some work done around our house. We did a lot of painting ourselves, but after having our hallways, foyer, and bonus room done in less than a day by professionals, we got a little spoiled.
It was a seriously gorgeous day in North Carolina, so DG and I took W for a walk.
And then I went in to work. I was so excited to wear my new top from Loft (thanks for the recommendation, Kristina!)
