Happy Monday, friends! Hope you had a great weekend!
If you read on Friday, I was supposed to join my parents and family friends for our annual trip to Ocracoke. My original plan was to head to Ocracoke on Wednesday afternoon and stay until Saturday. After getting back from Atlanta, I decided to stay at home until Thursday and catch the earliest ferry I could to Ocracoke. However, if you read my post on Thursday, I was sorta missing spending time with DG. He sealed the deal when he texted me about having a date night on Friday.
I'm definitely glad I did because I had the perfect mix of fun, productivity, but most importantly, relaxing. It came at the perfect time because I was already getting burnt out and I'm not even back at work full time.
Here's how it went. On Thursday night, we went and picked up our new coffee table. I've been lusting after a Lineberry cart for as long I can remember, so when I found one, I finally pulled the trigger. Now if I could only pull the trigger on the couch I've been wanting.
Friday, I was able to do some organizing around the house and take care of some things I just haven't been able to find time for.
I went to Shop Local Raleigh's Boutique Blowout with my boo ECW. We had a great time shopping and I picked up some great items. Some of my favorite shops were there, including The Purple Polka Dot and I found a great new shop called Wicks for Wags. Y'all know I'm a crazy dog lady, and these candles are locally made, soy candles and 10% of the profits go to the Wake County SPCA. Since both of my boys were adopted from there, I couldn't help myself.
After shopping, ECW and I went over to Calavera for a quick appetizer and margarita.
One of DG's plans for the weekend was to grab dinner from our favorite food truck and then to watch To Kill A Mockingbird at North Carolina Museum of Art. It was a beautiful night and I even got to see my buddy Maddie.
Seriously, I get the buffalo chicken sandwich and the fried brussel sprouts every time. Those sprouts are killer good!
Saturday, we went to the flea market to look for some pieces of furniture for our house. We didn't have any luck, but we still always enjoy browsing. It stormed pretty bad in the afternoon, so I organized my bathroom and vanity, which was an enormous task I've been procrastinating.
Sunday was my Buffalo friend's bridal shower. It was such a sweet shower at Winston's Grille in Raleigh. I had never eaten there prior to the shower, but man the food was delicious.
On my way home, I stopped off to meet my buddy KP to brainstorm some ideas.
How was your weekend? Link up and tell Biana and me about it!
P.S., did you catch yesterday's recipe? I have the ingredients for lunch this week since I am back to work at both jobs this week.
