One of my favorite posts of the year is the reflection post about my goals from the previous year. Here's how I did on 2014 goals. And here is the honest review of my goals for 2015.
1. Say no.
I didn't do a good job with this. Frankly, I took on even more in 2015, and often I found myself frazzled, burnt out, and not able to devote myself 100% to things that I truly care(d) about. So, that's why, this year, this is still my #1 priority. Everything else will fall into place when I start making time for myself and what truly matters instead of worrying about disappointing others.
2. Stop overanalyzing situations.
This has always been a big problem for me, but I think to some extent, I got better this past year. It will always be something that I want to work on for myself.
3. Do more things that make me happy.
This is another one that I didn't really meet. There were some things that I did that made me really happy, like when we traveled, when I got to run, when I was able to catch up on reading, or spend time with loved ones. I feel like I have a year's worth to make up for after 2015 and I can't wait!
4. Budget. Pay down debt.
Something we are still working on, but we are definitely in a better place than we were last year just simply from paying more attention to what we were spending and not being so frivilous.
5. Be more punctual.
Good news, I got better at this. I still have a ways to go because there are times I still underestimate how long it takes me to get ready, but overall I felt like I got better.
Overall, I am not thrilled with my progress, but I'm excited for another year and a fresh start! If you didn't catch it, here are my 2016 goals.
How did you do with your goals?
