This weekend was a gorgeous taste of spring in North Carolina. This is the time where I stop checking the weather forecast with my fingers crossed for a little snow icon and temps below 32 degrees to when I check for sun and 70s.
I woke up Saturday and went for a long run and then headed to visit a friend and her new baby. Saturday night, our plans got a little changed up, so we decided to try Driftwood Kitchen, a new to us restaurant, in Lafayette Village in Raleigh. The restaurant was such a cool, rustic spot, the food was delicious, and Lafayette Village is absolutely adorable.
Dinner starts out with pork rinds instead of bread.
DG and I ordered an appetizer of andouille & pepperjack hushpuppies.
I ordered a lobster roll with housemade chips and it was delicious. I stole a bite of DG's macaroni & cheese and was really impressed.
Lafayette Village with its cute market lights and Ella Fitzgerald playing through the walkways was just perfect.
Also on Saturday, I was surprised with a package of goodies from Klen Shop in Raleigh. I love all the champagne themed items. Klen is a hand-poured, small batch shop locally made by two mamas who were looking to get rid of harsh chemicals in their lives. I have been trying to do the same with my skincare, which is why I started using BeautyCounter. I immediately tried every product Klen gave me and I am sold! Check out their awesome selection here.
I met up with Em and took outfit pictures on Sunday. It was such a gorgeous day for it and I was able to preview spring outfits, but man was I exhausted when I got home. I made sure that I had my La Croix with me while I was shooting for a little extra pick-me-up. What's your favorite La Croix flavor?
P.S. I'm wearing Smith & Cult Stockholm Syndrome on my nails.
How was your weekend? Link up and tell Biana and me all about it!
Happy Monday!
