Weekending: Celebrating My Tribe

Good morning!  I hope you had a great weekend!  This weekend was insanely busy and I ended up sleeping in on Sunday.  I rarely sleep in, so it was a nice change of pace after such a crazy weekend.

Friday, I headed to my hometown to see my friend.  I appreciate your kind words and shared that with him.  The celebration of his father's life was really touching and I was glad to be there to help remember him.  When I left, I stopped by to see my friend Lindsey and her son.  He is turning 1 Wednesday and I was so happy to celebrate his life.  It was a late night, I didn't get home until after midnight, but it was totally well worth it.  And DG helped around the house to make it a smooth transition when I got home.

Saturday, I was up and at 'em for a fun collaboration in June with some of my favorite shops in Cameron Village.  Some of my girlfrans and I bought tickets for the Nourish with Tribe Alive & The Flourish Market dinner, so Angela & I met up before to snap a quick picture in front of this mural in downtown Raleigh.

I love this reminder that #WeAreNotThis.  Leave it to Ashley Christensen and her awesomeness to commission an artist to paint this mural in downtown Raleigh.  All the heart eye emojis.

The Nourish dinner was a really moving event and I'm so glad I was able to go.  Several of my favorite fellow educators attended the event with me.

And Sunday, after two really late nights, DG and I headed over to my buddy KP's new digs for her housewarming party.  I love being able to catch up with my former co-workers.

How was your weekend?  Link up and tell Biana and me all about it!
