Good morning, friends!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend.  Mine was jampacked with lots of fun, relaxation, and preparations.  Stay tuned until the end to find out what I was preparing.

Friday, DG and I went to dinner to celebrate another great season for him.  We've made it a tradition since his first year coaching.  This year was even more significant because the owners comper our meal as part of a "pay-it-forward" campaign.  I decided to donate the amount of our bill to the local food shelter so that we could continue to pay it forward.  We were both so humbled to be a part of this.

Saturday, I got up and hit the road to Greenville to see my friend HJFH and her sweet son.  I used my Edia Map to check off another BBQ joint!

We hit B's BBQ, which has always gotten tons of accolades from magazines.  It met all my BBQ criteria: no froo-froo stuff, crinkle fries, vinegar sauce, chopped to perfection, but... it could have used more sauce.  However, I'm happy to have checked off another restaurant.

I ended up heading back a little early, so DG and I went and checked out the WRAL Freedom Balloon Fest.

We had dinner at Anna's Pizza after our walk back.  It's always a favorite with us.

Sunday, I got word I will be traveling out of town for work.  This is really uncommon in my line of work, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity, and I'm glad that my administration agreed.  So, because of the last minute travel plans, I really had to get work done.  All that to say, I didn't change out of my pajamas and I took care of all the things.

Monday was another jam packed day of packing, planning, and finalizing things around the house, on top of brunching with friends.  Our brunch at Tupelo Honey was exactly what I needed as fuel for my day!

I hope y'all had a great time this weekend!  I'll be with limited Internet access this coming week but I'll check in with you when I can.
