Good morning & happy Monday! This weekend was the best way to kick off the beginning of May. My sister-in-law flew in Saturday, but I had a jam packed Saturday morning with an aweome collaboration in Cameron Village! Here's what I was up to this weekend.
Thursday, my friend Lauren was in town for work, so we went to Chet Miller for a little Mother's Day shopping, Ponysaurus for happy hour, and then Bull City Burger for dinner.
(P.S.
These are my favorite Jack Rogers, ever).
Friday, I met DG for an early date night at one of my favorite restaurants, Totopos Street Food.
Saturday, I woke up early and headed to
Cameron Village for the first of 3 months of an exciting collaboration! Stay tuned next week for the first round of posts! Then, I headed to my sweet friend's baby shower. Her baby girl is due in June and I can't wait to meet her!
I headed home and waited with Gizmo & Winston for my sister-in-law to get in to town. Her one request was to have dinner at
Acme Pizza. These garlic knots are seriously addictive and delicious!
On Sunday, my sister-in-law and I met my buddy KP at the Tucker House in Historic Oakwood for a tea.
It was a lovely afternoon, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area next year! We sampled three teas. With each tea, there were three foods with each tea. It was clear that there was a lot of time spent pairing food with the teas, and it was delicious.
I had a lot of people ask me how I found out about this tea. It has a lot of sponsors in Raleigh, but is really kept pretty quiet. I happened to stumble upon this when I was writing
this post. I am so happy I did!
The second part of the afternoon was touring 4 gardens in Oakwood. This house was my favorite.
After our tour, we headed to
William & Company for a quick drink before heading home and getting ready for the weekend.
And, as an aside, I started burning this candle this weekend, and I am ob.sessed.
