Good morning! I got back from vacation Saturday afternoon and DG was home about 2 hours after me. We spent the evening catching up on the week & hanging out with the two furballs. Sunday, I went to Pure Barre and then took care of things around the house to prepare for the week. When I was on the ferry back from Ocracoke, I started cleaning out my phone. Here are some of my favorite pictures & looks from the past couple of weeks months (seriously, told you this was overdue).
These dahlias are seriously my favorite from spring. I always think of my Aunt Betsy who passed away from breast cancer when I was in middle school. These were her favorite flowers & I miss her terribly, so these remind me of all our times together.
I have been a fan of
Rah-Rah Designs(c/o)
since our honeymoon. I just love this black & neon pink two piece. I've been wearing these
sunnies &
earrings(c/o) on repeat all season, too!
This hydrangea print dress from
Shop Borough(c/o) has generated a lot of feedback! I adore this look (also seen
here).
I still love these pictures from Gizmo's adoptiversary celebration.
And Winston's birthday celebration.
And their fish tacos are divine.
Vita Vite in Raleigh has the coolest event space with the most gorgeous chandeliers. More of this outfit here.
Churchill Downs was one of my favorite parts to my visit to Louisville. Check out my travel guide
here.
And I love this tribute to the winning horse & jockey outside the
Galt House Hotel.
I'm struggling with my fiddle leaf fig, but it is still one of my favorite home decor pieces we've added this summer. I got it from
The Zen Succulent in Durham. I'm a huge fan of Megan George & her awesomeness as seen
here.
Bonus, the coffee mug is handpainted in Raleigh & the coffee is made in Durham
I always love stopping by the
Raleigh Rose Garden in the summer. It's where DG and I got married and I still love the backdrop.
This walkway at the
Leslie-Alford-Mims House is seriously stunning. This is the perfect event space and there are few things I love more than a historic house.
And this house has the best hydrangeas all around the house. Southern perfection, y'all.
My sweet friend KST welcomed a beautiful baby girl and I had my talented friend KJS make these adorable items for her. How sweet are they?
I tried on my 5 pair of
Warby Parker glasses, and I really love the pair I've been eyeing since February. I guess I'll be pulling the trigger on
these soon!
Our daycation from the anniversary was
the Umstead in Cary. It was actually a rainy and chilly day, so I spent my morning curled up by the fire sipping infused water reading. It was a wonderful anniversary.
The Umstead is famous for their flower arrangements & unique artwork.
These
shoes &
dress are being worn on repeat this summer.
It never fails that when I'm getting ready, Winston comes and lays near me. I've always told y'all he's the best. And I mean it.
Fourth of July in the 'burbs
My dad went with me on my most recent day trip and we both were in love with
these tree houses. They appeared on DIY Network's
Treehouse Guys and are going to be available for rent in the fall. Stay tuned for my daytrip guide coming soon!
Before we went our separate ways last week, DG & I went to
Pullen Park for pedal boating & a jazz concert. I can't believe I've lived in Raleigh for 8 years and have never been to Pullen Park. We're definitely planning on heading back before the summer ends.
We had a hot afternoon for pedal boating as proven by DG's shirt. But he was so excited to find this statue of Andy & Opey at
Pullen Park. It was dedicated by TVLand.
When I arrived at
Ocracoke, it was a little overcast, but turned out to be a beautiful week! Silver Lake Harbor is always so beautiful. I'll be writing a trip guide for this serene spot on OBX soon, so stay tuned for more about what to do.
And our amazing dog sitter sent me this picture the last night she stayed with the boys. Their faces crack me up!
Alright, if you made it to the end, thank you! I told you this was long & overdue.
Link up with Biana and me to tell us all about your weekend!
