A New 'Do with Salon Blu

A few weeks ago, I went to visit Katy at Salon Blu in North Hills for a new hair do.  I love getitng my hair cut and color and make a point to get my hair color touched up and my ends trimmed every 6-8 weeks.  My hair is naturally curly and doesn't grow past a certain length, so I try to do whatever I can to control it.

Right away, Katy and I really hit it off and found out that we both were from eastern North Carolina and both attended East Carolina University.  We talked about what I wanted to do to my hair, and then she took a look at the current situation I had going on.

What I loved about working with Katy is that I told her what I wanted, we chatted a little more about it, and then she went and mixed my color.  She had looked through some of my Instagram posts to see what hair colors she could see, and we agreed that I should go back darker.  I appreciated the attention she gave to getting to know my style prior to me coming in and the honest opinion she gave me prior to getting started.

I sat with my color for a bit before getting my hair glazed on the ends and then getting the best scalp massage and shampoo.  I don't know about you, but that part is always my favorite.

Look how cute the color processing center is at the salon!

Then, Katy blew out my hair before trimming the ends.  She trimmed my ends once my hair was dry because I didn't want too much length taken off.

I absolutely love the new hair color and how Katy styled it!

And Salon Blu has the best selection of hair products.  These are the products that Katy used to control my hair in the major humidity we've been having in the area.  I was able to keep my hair in check all day and into the evening when I had a fun photo shoot for an upcoming feature in a local magazine!

If you live in Raleigh, be sure to check out Salon Blu for all your hair needs.  They have three locations in the Triangle and a great selection of hair products.

I received complimentary services in exchange for my opinion.  As always, all opinions are my own.

Thank you for supporting the brands that support Champagne & Suburbs.
