Y'all, I have had it with this winter weather. On Wednesday, school was cancelled because of the threat of inclement weather. Winston had a grooming appointment, so I moved it up and went out to run a few errands. I was trapped on the highway for 2.5 hours with him in the car moving at about 5 miles per hour. When I got home, I parked the car in the middle of the street and had DG pull it in the garage. I was DONE.
Today, I'm going to start my Friday's Five with by
sharing Teddy's story from Christina's blog. Go learn more about Menkes Syndrome!

After being trapped in the car, Winston and I went out back and ran around. The look on his face sums up everything I felt about being home safe and sound. I was a nervous wreck and had moments where I would break down. I just knew I was going to get stuck on the highway over night with him; no food, no water. We did lose power Thursday morning at 3:00AM and it stayed off until almost 8:00AM. It woke me up when it popped back on so I literally bolted out of bed to make a cup of coffee! Priorities, right? I can't tell you how relieved I was that Winston and I made it home safely and that friends who were stuck also made it home without any accidents.

I got this adorable camera strap from an
Etsy shop! The seller was really great to work with; I told her my favorite colors and she sent me pictures of samples within the colors. It was great and I'm so happy with my selection. DG, on the other hand, is not pleased about the fact our camera has a pink and purple monogrammed camera strap on it. Oops?

So, Ulta, Sephora, and Target all have the same results on me. I feel the need to purchase gazillions of items I convince myself I can't live without. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you combat it? I've been doing a lot better since one of my resolution's was to not spend money, but I had a relapse on Tuesday!

Caitlin posted these great pieces on her Instagram page earlier this week and now I can't get them out of my brain! I love these great monogrammed pieces from Love Always!

Today is mine and DG's 3 year anniversary. He has something planned for us tonight and I have no idea what it is or what to expect. This is our last anniversary before we get married and I am really excited. I will definitely keep you posted on what his surprise is for me. By the way, am I the only one who gets nostalgic about events leading up to the wedding? Part of me wants to continue celebrating this anniversary even after we get married!
Happy Valentine's Day!
