This weekend was really a blast and I'm so sad to see another weekend end.
I love heading back east to visit my parents. As backwards as the place can be, it really wouldn't be so terrible to live in the eastern part of the state again. You'll see why once I share my bridal portraits.
My Thursday night consisted of eating at one of my favorite places ever with my parents and grandmother. I fought the floods that came through North Carolina my entire trip, so it was great to get somewhere and relax. Apparently, I wasn't the only one exhausted.
Is there any question that Winston loves being with my parents? He loves my mom.
The weather was supposed to be awful on Friday, but I kept telling everyone I was optimistic that it would be gorgeous. And it was! I went on a nice run Friday morning and the sun came out right as I got home. It was in the mid-70s and we couldn't have asked for a better day. I had the best time getting my hair and make-up done.
One of my friends has a fabulous mom who sells Mary Kay. She has done my make-up before for friends weddings, so I asked her to do mine for my portraits. She did a great job and we had a great time.
Mom and my matron of honor, Lindsey, came with me.
Friday night, Lindsey and Mom came with me to take pictures and it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be!
Saturday, I came back and started cleaning the screened-in porch. It took me about 4 hours, and Winston didn't move at all for the the entire 4 hours.
Saturday night, I chaperoned Prom with some of my favorite co-workers. I do always love Prom and seeing the kids all dressed up.
And Sunday, I spent most of the day cleaning, doing laundry, and grading some papers. My future sister-in-law is coming to visit Wednesday before the bachelorette party.
How was your weekend? Anything exciting?
