Weekending: Last One as a Single Lady

Hey y'all!  I hope you had a good weekend.  I enjoyed my last weekend as a single lady with my best friend, my parents, celebrating baby Mac, and my pup Winston.  Here's my forewarning, this post will be a little long.

Friday, I really watched what I ate.  Have any of y'all Southern ladies ever eaten at PDQ?  It's another fastfood chicken place, but it is GOOD.  They have a ton of dipping sauces to choose from, and my favorite is definitely their buffalo bleu.  And y'all, those fries... they were worth it.

I also got my Influenster #VowVoxBox.  I'll post more details on my products later.

I now feel comfortable to post about this as well.  You may remember back in April, I posted that my childhood best friend/matron of honor announced that she was pregnant.  Last Saturday, she called to tell me that she was being induced at 5 months because she had lost the baby.  She was in labor for 3 days and Christian Michael was born on June 16.  Words can't describe how I felt for her loss.  She has gone through so much in her life and I felt a lot of anger.  She sent me a picture of the hand and foot prints they took at the hospital.  I went and saw her Friday and in her given state, she was doing as well as I could hope.  I appreciate all your positive thoughts and prayers during the time.  She kept telling me she had felt them all and she was so grateful to people who didn't even know her for the thoughts and caring.

Saturday, I went to my parents house.  I woke up and went for a run in their quiet little town (remember this?).  I love this view of that farm to start my run out.

My mom had to go get her dress for the wedding from Raleigh, so it was just my dad and me.  We went and had breakfast together and we sat with his high school teacher.  I loved talking to her about teaching.  She taught for over 30 years, but we discussed our mentalities of teaching, and she and I definitely have the same teaching style.

I then got ready and headed out to my friend Hillary's baby shower.  Hillary is due in August and I can't wait to meet baby Mac.

I also got to see my grandmother and show her my bridal portrait.

Saturday night when I got back to the 'burbs, DG and I ran out to dinner.  We went to Aviator for dinner again because DG is borderline addicted to their macaroni and cheese bites.

Sunday, I had a partner join me in my Tone It Up workouts.

I also finished the most tedious and daunting task of the wedding planning... doing the calligraphy on the escort cards.  Y'all, I sat down with Hart of Dixie Netflix marathon and got to work.
